How Affiliate Newbies Can Stay Focused

Since I have been doing affiliate marketing one of the difficulties I find sometimes is staying focused. You know how it is, you start out with good intentions, you aim to get that article written or do some keyword research and find yourself getting side tracked. There is so much information on the internet, you read something on a webpage and find yourself being led to an interesting article on another webpage and this leads yet again to something else. Before you know it you have lost an hour and have still done no work.

Being a member of Wealthy Affiliate can have its drawback too! I usually pop in there each day to check my stats, see what’s going on in the forum and maybe answer a question or two. There is so much great information being shared in the forum, some posts are so good I just have to stay and read them and maybe join in the debate too. Only recently Jennifer PotPie Girl made her 1000th post and I’m not exaggerating when I say that the information she gave in that post was absolutely priceless. She is such a giver, always ready to help wealthy affiliate members out and she gives such excellent advice.

Anyway I have devised a cunning plan for myself to stay focused and this is how affiliate newbies can stay focused too.

This is my cunning plan (yes I know its a no brainer but it took me a long time to realise this!)

If you stick to your plan you will find you can achieve so much more and you will feel so much better about yourself too.

Another way affiliate newbies can stay focused is to print out any learning material. For example if you are a member of wealthy affiliate and you are doing the lessons in the 8 week action plan or you come across an interesting and informative forum post, copy and paste the item into a document and print it out. That way you can spend some time reading and learning away from the computer and all the distractions of the internet.

Another thing I have found is to sit and relax and lots of ideas will come flooding into my tiny brain lol. So always keep a notepad and pen handy for any ideas you may have. If you don’t write you ideas down, the chances are you will soon forget them. Also when I am cooking dinner or taking a shower I will often have loads of ideas come into my mind. I do wish someone would invent waterproof notepads!
